Darmian: Manchester United is Beginning, Not My Peak Career

Florence - Matteo Darmian will not just be satisfied after recruited a club like Manchester United. Darmian call The Red Devils are the beginning for him, not the peak of his career.

Darmian, who trained at the academy AC Milan, joined United in the transfer market this summer. The 25-year-old player bought from Torino to Manchester United with 12.7 million pounds.
 
Darmian did not take long for the tune with his new club. Since diving debut in a match against Tottenham Hotspur on August 8 last, he is irreplaceable in Manchester United right defender position.

Darmian did show an impressive performance at Manchester United. In four appearances in the Premier League, he averaged made four tackles per game, 1.8-intercept, clearance 0.8, 0.8 dribel, and 0.3 blocks. Pass accuracy of 84%. Site statistics whoscored give him a rating of 7.05. 

 Thanks to the nice appearance, Darmian became one of three candidates for best player Manchester United for the month of August. Two other candidates are Luke Shaw and Chris Smalling.

"The most important thing for me is that although I'm foreign players, I immediately tuned in Manchester United. Thanks to teammates and the staff made me feel as a part of this team," said Darmian the newspaper Corriere della Sera.

Although happy with his start at Manchester United, Darmian claimed not to be at the peak of his career. Whether this is a sign he wanted to move to another club in the future?

"I want to be honest to myself. I was the one who worked hard to get into position now and I want to continue doing that," said Darmian.

"Manchester United is the beginning and not the peak of my career," he said.
