London - Chelsea gain additional strength in the back line, after the west London club completed Papy Djilobodji move from French club Nantes.
Djilobodji transfer completion was announced by Nantes, Tuesday (09/01/2015) about six hours ahead of the closing of the summer transfer market in England.
Djilobodji, who enters his final season at Nantes, reportedly contracted for four years at a cost of about 3.5 million pounds transfer. Djilobodji expected to be the answer to the problem in back line Chelsea, who have conceded nine goals in four Premier League matches.
The player plays the Senegalese central defender was playing in Nantes since 2010 with a total of 169 appearances and nine goals. Despite getting Djilobodji, Chelsea reportedly still insists on pursuing Everton defender John Stones.
"FC Nantes wish the best for the future Djilobodji career," a statement on the official website Nantes.
At the same time, Chelsea also remove Nigeria winger Victor Moses, to West Ham United on loan. For three consecutive seasons, Moses had to spend another season at the club, after Liverpool and Stoke City.
Since joining Chelsea from Wigan Athletic in 2012, Moses appeared only 44 times and make 10 goals.
