Thanks from Daley Blind to Ajax Academy

 Amsterdam - As a footballer, Daley Blind is known as a versatile type. For his versatile type, Blind thanked to the academy of Ajax Amsterdam.

In recognition of Blind told MUTV, the system in the Ajax academy has taught him to play in various positions. 'Die Toekomst' or 'The Future' is a term for the academy which has produced many great players in the past.

In practice, the Ajax academy trained the same as the main team. They are also trained to adapt to the 4-3-3 pattern that later are already accustomed to when it was played for the main team.

 Outside the pattern, the Ajax academy also stressed the importance of positioning and techniques such as ball control and pass in the game. The players are required to have more intelligence in understanding the game. Therefore, no wonder if it appears one or two players who can play in more than one position.

Blind, which was originally known as a left back, never played as a defensive midfielder for United. Now, at the beginning of the season 2015/2016, the son of the Dutch national team coach, Danny Blind, was played as a central defender.

 "I ever to play as a central defender in the Ajax academy," he said.

"I am happy because the Ajax academy taught me to play in many positions and taught me to continue to grow, until finally become a player like this," he continued.

Blind played as a central defender left side the United manager, Louis van Gaal. This is in accordance with the needs of the system of Van Gaal, who need a left-handed-footed central defender on the left and also can dribble or pass from the defense itself.

Last season, the position normally occupied by Marcos Rojo. Just like Blind, Rojo also can carry the ball alone on its own defense and play as a left back.

"I am a player who can adapt quickly in many positions, either as a midfielder, left-back or as it is now, as a central defender," said Blind.
