Newcastle - Newcastle United's young striker Ayoze Perez claims are being targeted by Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. But for now he is still the focus to the team.
Ayoze starts to rise in the last season, which was his first season at Newcastle since joining from Tenerife. In that season he relied directly on the front line and scored seven goals from 36 appearances in the Premier League.
This season the 22-year-old player showed his potential by scoring four goals and two assists in 15 games in the league. That performance apparently enough to invite a number of the club's interest.
Manchester United and Spurs touted want him and then confirmed by Ayoze himself. Both clubs are indeed currently in need of the center forward position because both minimal stock.
MU only have Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney in pure striker position. The need for a new striker increasingly urgent if you see the performance of Rooney who was not okay, only scored two goals in 13 league appearances. While Martial currently got four goals from 12 games.
While at Spurs, only the name of Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min that can be relied. Kane looked impressive so far with nine goals from 17 matches, while Son make a goal from nine games. Ayoze arrival will give Mauricio Pochettino relatively qualified replacement for Kane, as well as providing an internal competition for the Son which could boost the performance.
"There is truth in the discussion related to the interest in me. It was beneficial for me," said Ayoze told Radio Club Tenerife.
"There's a lot of truth in news of interest from Tottenham and Manchester Untied, but where I am currently in Newcastle," he said as quoted by the Standard.
